Twente winger out for 'several weeks'

FC Twente winger Emir Bajrami is facing a spell on the sidelines after undergoing ankle surgery. The Sweden international injured his right ankle during the Dutch champions' 4-1 UEFA Champions League defeat at Tottenham last month. The 22-year-old underwent a successful operation on Monday, but Twente have revealed he is now facing 'several weeks' out. Bajrami has been ruled out of the club's upcoming European matches against Werder Bremen, both at home on the 20th October and away on November 2nd. The Swede, who arrived in Enschede from native outfit IF Elfsborg in the summer, will also miss his country's Euro 2012 qualifying game in Holland on Tuesday, as well as Saturday's Eredivisie clash at Feyenoord.
