Defender signs three-year deal at Stade Louis II

Monaco have completed the signing of former Marseille defender Laurent Bonnart on a free transfer. Bonnart has been without a club since leaving Marseille earlier this summer following the expiry of his contract. The 30-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at the Stade Louis II and he is relishing the prospect of playing for Monaco. "This is a great pleasure," said Bonnart "I come here with a lot of ambition because this squad has the qualities to earn a very good place in Le Championnat. "Although I am 30 years old, I have much enthusiasm; I am someone who needs to renew himself. I need this challenge. "I knew there was a possibility of coming here. There have been negotiations but in my eyes my priority was to sign here, even if it was not easy."
