St Johnstone midfielder Martin Hardie admits he is in the dark over whether or not he will win a new deal at the club. Hardie, who is currently recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury, is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave on a free transfer. The 33-year-old admits his future lies in the hands of the club, with the former Kilmarnock man unlikely to be back in action before September. "As far as my contract situation is concerned, the club and I haven't spoken about what happens," Hardie told the Press & Journal. "First and foremost St Johnstone have to retain our SPL status. That's what matters. "After that it'll be up to the manager and the board whether they want to hold on to me."
