Fabio Simplicio insists he has yet to decide whether he will leave Palermo at the end of the season.

Zamparini accuses agent regarding contract talks

Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio insists he has yet to decide whether he will leave the club at the end of the season. Simplicio's agent recently suggested that the Brazilian would quit Palermo when his contract expires in the summer. However, Simplicio is currently focusing all his energies on Palermo after claiming there was interest from Serie A champions Inter Milan during the January transfer window. "So much can still happen, I have not already chosen to leave," Simplicio told TGS Studio Sport. "I have had requests from big teams and I'm glad, but my agent thinks of my contract, I think only of the squad and my work. "Inter Milan? We were close in January, but I decided to stay and I will do my best to help my team-mates reach an important milestone. "Until the end of the season I will give everything for Palermo."

Sacrifices

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini hopes Simplicio stays with the club and believes the problems lie with his agent. Zamparini said: "I hope that Fabio Simplicio stays, we are ready to make sacrifices for his salary. "The problem is that Simplicio's agent has requested a very high figure, not for the player but for him. Fabio is a good boy otherwise he would have already changed agent. "I am convinced that Fabio wants to stay here with his heart, but unfortunately sometimes there are agents who think about anything but their client. The agents, when they act like that, are the evil of football."
