Lincoln City boss Peter Jackson insists he is not looking to ship Stefan Oakes out of the club.

Midfielder left out of squad for last three matches

Lincoln City boss Peter Jackson insists he is not looking to ship Stefan Oakes out of the club. Oakes has not featured for the Imps since the 5-1 defeat at Grimsby Town in early March and has not been involved in the squad for the last three games. His recent absence has sparked suggestions that the midfielder, who signed a two-year contract when joining from Wycombe Wanderers last summer, could be offloaded at the end of the season. However, Jackson believes the 30-year-old still has a role to play for the League Two club next season. "Stefan's just been feeling under the weather," said Jackson. "He still has 12 months on his contract and still has a future here."
