Filip Djordjevic scored a first-half double to set up a comfortable 3-0 home win for Nantes over Evian in Ligue 1 on Saturday. Djordjevic found the net in the second and 34th minutes as Nantes took a two-goal lead into the break before defender Papy Djilobodji sealed the win shortly after the hour mark. The result sees Nantes move up into fifth while Evian slip to 15th place. Djordjevic got the first ever Ligue 1 meeting between the two sides off to a perfect start when Jordan Veretout freed Serge Gakpe on the left of the box, who in turn flicked the ball on to the unmarked striker. Djordjevic struck a low ball past Evian goalkeeper Bertrand Laquait to open the scoring. Evian went close to levelling the score in the 24th minute when Aldo Angoula just missed the net by a few inches before Kevin Berigaud tested the home side's defence and forced a good save from keeper Remy Riou. However, it was Nantes who rippled the back of the net again through Djordjevic, after he met Issa Cissokho's ball from the right to beat Laquait with a low shot. After the break, Nantes went close when Cissokho released Veretout who shot inches wide in the 54th minute, but they did add another to the scoreboard in the 65th when Djilobodji headed Lucas Deaux's cross into the net. Evian went close as the game reached the final whistle when Riou blocked Nicolas Benezet's effort, but they could not find the key to unlock Nantes' defence as they suffered their fourth defeat of the season.
