Paderborn picked up their first win in 2015, leaving Hannover still waiting for their first success after they went down 2-1 at home to the East Westphalians.

Marcelo gave Hannover the lead in the 66th minute, but Paderborn, who beat Hannover with two goals in the last 20 minutes in the reverse fixture, did the same again to pick up maximum points.

Srdjan Lakic headed them level before Alban Meha clinched victory.

Hannover held much of the possession from start to finish, but despite their industry, there was rarely an end product.

The best chances of a first half which failed to take off came for Paderborn with Meha testing Ron-Robert Zieler twice.

Hannover's best chance came when Lars Stindl's shot was blocked by his own team-mate Joselu.

Paderborn went close to taking the lead in the 65th minute when Suleyman Koc raced through and sent his shot past Zieler, but Miiko Albornoz was covering to make a spectacular lunge to clear the ball off the line.

It was a let-off which Hannover made the most of, taking the lead just a minute later when Joselu's cross was lifted into the roof of the net at the far post by Marcelo.

Rather than letting their heads drop, however, Paderborn hit back with Lakic scoring his first goal for the club since a winter transfer from second-division Kaiserslautern to bring them level.

Meha then earned them all three points with a powerful free-kick from almost 30 yards which Zieler was unable to keep out, despite being well placed to make a save.

Like when the teams first met this season, Paderborn picked up the points thanks to two goals in the last 20 minutes, leaving Hannover still without a win since the winter break.
