Evian remain in real danger of relegation after a late missed penalty cost them a draw at Reims and kept them just one point outside the Ligue 1 drop zone. Defender Cedric Mongongu's unconvincing effort straight at goalkeeper Lossi Agassa in the 86th minute could yet prove very costly to his side's survival hopes. As it was, Prince Oniangue's strike on 30 minutes was enough to clinch victory for the hosts and leave their opponents still deep in trouble near the foot of the table. Evian face Nice next week but it is the trip to Sochaux, who currently occupy the final relegation spot, on the final day of the season which is likely to prove critical. Reims striker Floyd Ayite's early free-kick crashed back off a post before Evian's Daniel Wass almost scored direct from a corner, his curling cross only denied by the frame of the goal. On the half-hour, Oniangue struck when a driving run from Grzegorz Krychowiak into the penalty area saw the midfielder cut the ball back for his team-mate to convert easily. Ayite almost doubled the lead just before half-time but his right-footed volley was narrowly off target. Evian stepped things up after the break, with Kevin Berigaud's header just missing, but Odair Fortes replied by bringing an excellent reflex save from Jesper Hansen before Krychowiak drove against the post from 25 yards. The visitors were gifted a way back into the game when Agassa brought down Wass, but Mongongu failed to deliver from the spot.
