Reims celebrate against Lille
Reims claimed their first Ligue 1 win this season as they beat Lille 2-1 thanks to Mads Albaek's early score and Christopher Glombard's second-half scrambled strike.
Albaek put the home side ahead with a seventh-minute rocket before Glombard sealed the win midway through the second period, with Marko Basa's 88th-minute score for Lille only a late consolation.
The victory for Reims comes after their opening-day defeat away at Rennes, while Lille were unable to follow up their 1-0 win over Lorient on their first away trip of the season.
Albaek got Reims off to a perfect start when he fired Eliran Atar's free-kick into the top corner of Vincent Enyeama's goal.
The home side were then forced to go on the defensive as Lille looked to hit back, with Divock Origi first testing keeper Kossi Agassa before Basa set up Marvin Martin, whose 20-yard shot went just inches wide.
However, it was Reims who went the closest again before the break, when Odair Fortes combined with Prince Oniangue on the left, with the latter smashing the ball against the post before it was dealt with by Lille's defence.
After the break, Agassa kept out Origi's low drive before Reims went 2-0 up following a goalmouth scramble.
Reims striker Gaetan Courtet managed to control to ball and he flicked it on to Glombard, whose low shot beat a surprised Lille keeper.
Basa finally found a way through the home side's defence but it was too late to make a difference to the outcome of the match.
