Bradford v Burton preview

Image: Andrew Davies: Banned for first leg

Team news ahead of Thursday night's League Two play-off semi-final first leg between Bradford and Burton at Valley Parade.

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson will recall his big guns for the clash with the Brewers. Parkinson rested Gary Jones, Gary Thompson, James Hanson, Nahki Wells and Jon McLaughlan for Saturday's 0-0 draw at Cheltenham, but they will all come back into the side at Valley Parade. Winger Kyel Reid missed the Whaddon Road tie with a groin injury, but he has returned to training and will face a late fitness test to determine whether he will play. Defender Andrew Davies is definitely out after he was sent off against the Robins and he now serves a one-match ban. Bradford beat Burton 1-0 in their final home game of the regular season 10 days ago. The visitors are without Lee Bell and Jack Dyer through suspension and injury respectively, which will also rule both midfielders out of the return leg on Sunday and the final at Wembley - should Gary Rowett's side reach the May 18 showpiece. Bell received his second red card of the season during the recent league meeting with the Bantams and will serve the second game of his four-match ban. Dyer suffered ankle ligament damage in that 1-0 defeat in West Yorkshire and he faces up to six weeks on the sidelines. It looks like either John McGrath, who got the nod for the final fixture of the campaign at home to Gillingham at the weekend, or Lee Fowler will play alongside Robbie Weir in central midfield, although Rowett has not ruled out a change in formation. "We've got lots of options," he said. "We could play extra players in there, or we've got an opportunity to do things differently with the formation. We can drop Zander Diamond into the back four to make it a back five. "There are lots of things we can do but the key is we don't want to tinker too much."
