Granada secured their first away win of the season as second-half goals from Youssef Al-Arabi and Gabriel Torje handed them a 2-1 win at Mallorca. There was little to choose between the sides for the first hour, but the turning point came with 25 minutes to go when Emilio Nsue was shown a red card for bringing down Torje as he sped into the area and El-Arabi tucked away the resulting spot-kick. The visitors' numerical advantage only lasted for two minutes as Yacine Brahimi was shown a second yellow card, but Torje doubled their advantage with an extremely cool finish from El-Arabi's scooped pass. Tomer Hemed gave Mallorca hope with a brilliant header five minutes from time and the Islanders could even have snatched a draw as Tomo did well to turn away Victor Casadesus' effort in stoppage time. Joaquin Caparros' hosts were depleted by injuries and suspensions to a number of key players and they were forced into another early change when Joao Victor was forced off after just 14 minutes. Despite that disruption they nearly went ahead two minutes later when Victor and Hemed combined to put the Israeli through on goal but Tono was out quickly to make a vital block. Mikel Rico then just flashed a shot wide for Granada before El-Arabi ought to have opened the scoring, but was denied by a fine double save from Dudu Aouate. The game began to open up in the second half and, after Hemed had flashed another couple of efforts just wide, it was the visitors who took the lead when a rapid counter-attack following a Mallorca free-kick put Torje in the clear and Nsue only succeeded in bringing the Romania international down as he tried to make up the ground. The referee had little choice but to show the red card and El-Arabi stepped up to roll in his first goal in Spanish football. Brahimi soon evened up the numbers, though, as he needlessly dived in on Pedro Geromel to receive a second booking, but Granada looked to have the points sewn up when El-Arabi slipped the ball through to Torje, who took a touch inside Aouate before slamming the ball home. Mallorca, however, continued to battle and deservedly got a goal back when Hemed rose highest to power in Jose Luis Marti's free-kick. And, with time running out, Tono was forced into one final save as Victor volleyed the ball toward goal from the penalty spot to secure a second consecutive win for Juan Antonio Anquela's men.
