Accrington v Barnet preview

Image: Padraig Amond: Still missing for Stanley

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Accrington and Barnet at the Crown Ground.

Accrington are once again set to be without Padraig Amond when they look to move off the bottom of the table. Amond is back in light training following groin and abductor problems but is unlikely to be involved, meaning former England international strikers James Beattie and Francis Jeffers are free to resume their partnership that got off to a fruitless start in Tuesday night's 3-0 home loss to Fleetwood. That result sent Stanley to the bottom of the Football League but victory at the Crown Ground this weekend would bring them level on points with the fifth-bottom Bees. On-loan Bury defender Mark Hughes (calf) remains out, while goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin (shoulder) is still not ready for action despite being named on the bench for the Reds' last two matches. Dunbavin's recovery from shoulder surgery has progressed quicker than expected but his presence in the matchday squad as a result of understudy Andrew Dawber's knee injury was merely as emergency cover for Paul Rachubka. Barnet player boss Edgar Davids will have to make two changes to his side. Defender Bonz N'Gala and striker Dani Lopez have had their loan spells at Underhill cut short after being recalled by parent club Stevenage. The departure of Spanish frontman Lopez is a particular blow as he scored a hat-trick in last Saturday's 4-1 win over Morecambe. Top scorer Jake Hyde returned from a hamstring injury as a late substitute in Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Oxford so he could start, while Davids has recalled striker Harry Crawford from a loan spell at non-league Dartford. Davids has also drafted in Tom Flanagan on loan from MK Dons to replace N'Gala. Midfielder John Oster (hamstring) and forwards Ricky Holmes (foot) and Steve Kabba (knee) remain on the sidelines.
