Yussuff: Pushing for a start for AFC Wimbledon

Yussuff: Pushing for a start for AFC Wimbledon

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Bradford City and AFC Wimbledon at Valley Parade.

Bradford quartet Michael Flynn, Luke Moore, Robbie Threlfall and Kyel Reid are all doubtful.

Flynn is struggling with a slight calf strain and fellow midfielder Reid has a bruised foot, while defenders Moore and Threlfall are nursing respective hand and hip injuries.

Manager Phil Parkinson could hand late fitness tests to all four players, with winger Jack Compton and defenders Luke O'Brien and Lewis Hunt on stand-by.

Striker Nialle Rodney remains sidelined with an ankle injury, but former Hull forward Craig Fagan is expected to start on the bench again after making his debut in last week's defeat at Crawley.

Stoke defender Andrew Davies has joined Bradford on a three-month loan deal and could make his debut.

Centre-half Steve Williams has returned to training following his long-term thigh injury but is not ready and Simon Ramsden (hip/groin), Lee Bullock and David Syers (both knee) remain long-term absentees.

Ricky Wellard should be fit for AFC Wimbledon.

The midfielder was substituted at half-time during last weekend's win over Cheltenham with breathing problems but boss Terry Brown is confident he will be available.

Rashid Yussuff, who replaced Wellard, scored one and made another to push his claims for a place in the starting line-up.

Brett Johnson could be added to the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem, while fellow defender Fraser Franks played for the reserves this week after six months out with a knee injury.

However, Brown is considering loaning Franks out to build up his match fitness.

Centre-half Mat Mitchel-King is still waiting to make his debut due to an ankle injury.
