    Jemal Johnson's superb long-range strike gave Stockport their first league win since October over a desperately poor Exeter at St James Park. Johnson let fly from 25 yards to net the only goal of the game 13 minutes from time with the only real bit of quality in a disappointing match. The Grecians came close to opening the scoring with their first attack of the match. Ryan Harley's free-kick was headed down by Matt Taylor and Richard Logan smashed a volley goalwards, which Owain Fon Williams tipped onto the crossbar. Stockport almost broke the deadlock when Taylor blocked superbly from George Donnelly and as Exeter failed to clear, Richie Partridge headed straight at Andy Marriott. All in all though it was scrappy stuff with both sides showing a distinct lack of quality. Exeter started the second half well and Liam Sercombe spurned a good chance as he dragged a shot wide of goal. Johnson's goal came against the run of play and despite some late Exeter pressure, County held out comfortably to claim a deserved win and the defeat sees the Grecians slip into the relegation zone.
