Paul Furlong set Barnet on course for their first win of the season as they beat Morecambe 2-0 at Underhill.
The 40-year-old striker opened the scoring after just three minutes and Albert Jarrett sealed the three points by converting from the penalty spot seven minutes from time.
Morecambe have now conceded 12 goals in their last three games in all competitions and are yet to win this season.
Yet the visitors almost got off to the perfect start as Ian Craney's curling effort a the post after only a minute.
Mix-up
Barnet struck shortly after, though, as former Chelsea striker Furlong capitalised on a mix-up in the Shrimps' area to lash past Barry Roche and into the roof of the net.
The away side were unlucky not to equalise 13 minutes into the second half when Laurence Wilson saw a powerful far-post finish disallowed for a push.
But Ian Hendon's side sealed the win late on when Jarrett was fouled in the area before dusting himself down to fire home his first Barnet goal from the spot.
