Niko Kovac struck the only goal of the game as Croatia defeated Moldova 1-0 in their penultimate fixture leading up to Euro 2008.
Kovac, who will retire from international football after this summer's finals, netted on 30 minutes with a towering header.
Croatia enjoyed the better of the first period, but the visitors improved in the second half, twice forcing goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa into top saves.
Croatia are away to Hungary next Saturday in their final warm-up encounter as they prepare for Austria and Switzerland.
Slaven Bilic's side open their Euro 2008 campaign against Austria in Vienna on 8th June and also face Poland and Germany in Group B.
