Fowler: May feature

Robbie Fowler could be back in contention for Cardiff when they host Barnsley in their last league game on Sunday.

With both sides' Championship future decided the meeting will be one of pride as Cardiff look to prepare for their FA Cup final.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones was expected to rest some of his players ahead of the final but may use the game in preparation.

Fowler has returned to training after a hip injury and may feature, along with striker Paul Parry and midfielder Stephen McPhail.

Darren Purse is available again for Dave Jones after his three-game ban for a red card against the Clarets was overturned.

Barnsley news

The Tykes will be looking for revenge against Cardiff after their 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat last month.

But Simon Davey will be without a number of first-team regulars including captain Brian Howard, defender Stephen Foster and Martin Devaney.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce may return for Barnsley after recovering from an ankle injury and there may be starting places for youngsters Jacob Butterfield, Jamil Adam and Luke Potter.

Daniel Nardiello, Lewin Nyatanga and Luke Steele are all expected to start as they play the last matches of their loan spells.
