Leeds v Walsall preview

Image: Douglas: Recall?

Leeds manager Gary McAllister could be tempted to recall skipper Jonathan Douglas to his squad for the home clash with Walsall.

Player back to fitness

Leeds manager Gary McAllister could be tempted to recall skipper Jonathan Douglas to his squad for the home clash with Walsall. Douglas has been sidelined with knee ligament damage since December, but came through 90 minutes for the reserves unscathed in midweek and could take a place on the bench. Leeds will be without suspended midfielder Andrew Hughes, who recently returned to the side following a knee injury, as he sits out the first of a two-game ban. Frazer Richardson could step up in Hughes' absence, but McAllister has several options, with Sebastian Carole and Peter Sweeney both starring for the reserves in midweek. Striker Anthony Elding is pushing for a return to the squad after his midweek double for the second string, but McAllister is not expected to make too many changes to the side held at Port Vale last week.

Walsall

Suspended defender Richard Taundry is the only definite absentee for Walsall. Taundry serves the second of a three-match ban following the club's failed appeal against the red card he received in the home defeat to Brighton earlier this month. Mark Bradley has been called up to the Wales Under-21 squad for their game against Bosnia Herzegovina in Sarajevo on Wednesday. The midfielder will meet up with the national squad on Sunday, meaning he is available for the televised clash against Leeds but will miss the visit of Crewe on Easter Monday.
