Ajaccio snatch a point

Chahir Belghazouani rescued a last-gasp point for Ajaccio as they drew 2-2 with Bordeaux.

Chahir Belghazouani rescued a last-gasp draw for Ajaccio in Ligue 1 but Bordeaux remain unbeaten in all competitions after a 2-2 draw. Home coach Francis Gillot thought Yoan Gouffran had earned him a second league win of the season with a second-half header after Ricardo Faty had cancelled out Henrique's opener. But Ajaccio earned their first point away from home since the opening day thanks to Belghazouani's late finish. Ajaccio started brightly, Mehdi Mostefa releasing Sigamary Diarra in behind the defence, only for Cedric Carrasso to turn the effort away for a corner. Bordeaux's Gregory Sertic then met the ball with his head but Diarra was well placed to clear off his line. Ludovic Obraniak soon tried his luck from distance after good work from Henri Saivet but Ajaccio would go on to enjoy the best chance of the first half. Eduardo snuck into the penalty area after a sweet through-ball from Johan Cavalli, controlling the ball skilfully but smashing it over the crossbar. Nine minutes after the break, Bordeaux made the breakthrough. Henrique rose to meet Jaroslav Platil's corner and power his header past a frozen Guillermo Ochoa. Les Girondins pushed for a quickfire second, Jussie picking out Benoit Tremoulinas to cut in from the left and bend an effort just inches wide of Ochoa's top corner. Carl Medjani watched in horror as his close-range effort hit a post and rolled along the goalline before Ajaccio equalised in the 64th minute. A regulation Diarra corner bounced around Bordeaux's danger area and Faty gleefully rifled home the loose ball. Parity ruled for just 15 minutes and Bordeaux were ahead again as Gouffran beat Ochoa from six yards with a bullet header. Their three points seemingly in the bag, the hosts relaxed their grip on the game and they were duly punished two minutes into stoppage time. Medjani launched a long ball into enemy territory, Belghazouani finding himself onside to control and slot coolly beyond Carrasso to salvage a point for the Corsicans.
