Bolton looked to be in fine fettle on Friday as they made light work of Primera Liga outfit Osasuna. Goals from the in-form Johann Elmander and Lee Chung-yong helped the Trotters to a comfortable 2-0 win. Owen Coyle's men wasted no time in getting the job done on their latest outing, with the result wrapped up inside 26 minutes. Swedish striker Elmander broke the deadlock after just 11 minutes, bagging his third goal in pre-season. Route one football at its best saw Jussi Jaaskelainen's long punt forward nodded on by Kevin Davies and Elmander made no mistake as he volleyed into the bottom corner.

Surprise

The hosts continued to press thereafter and it came as no surprise when they doubled their lead midway through the first half. The goal came from an unlikely source, the head of Lee, as Bolton's tricky South Korean winger towered above his man to nod past Asier Risego from the penalty spot. There could have been further goals before the break, but Elmander and Martin Petrov failed to find a finish. The inevitable procession of changes arrived in the second half and the game was played out at a leisurely pace, as neither side risked doing anything rash ahead of the 2010/11 campaign.
