AFC Wimbledon v Torquay preview

Image: Midson: Suspended for Gulls tie

Team news ahead of Tuesday's League Two clash between AFC Wimbledon and Torquay at Kingsmeadow.

AFC Wimbledon will be without Jack Midson but could welcome back Dale Bennett for the visit of Torquay. Striker Midson, last season's top scorer, starts a three-match ban after he was sent off for violent conduct during Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Rochdale. Byron Harrison or fit-again Rashid Yussuff (ankle) are set to start in Midson's place. On-loan Watford defender Bennett missed out at the weekend with a knee injury but is in line to return. Fellow centre-half Mat Mitchel-King returned to the club last week after being granted compassionate leave but promptly picked up a back injury in training and remains a doubt. Curtis Osano (ankle), Callum McNaughton (cruciate) and Jason Prior (broken leg) are still out. Torquay boss Martin Ling could welcome Lloyd Macklin back. The winger, who has been absent with a knee injury recently, had been hopeful of making the Gulls' squad for Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Rotherham only for the match to come too soon for him. Should Macklin make the travelling group he will likely have to settle for a place on the bench. Another persistent absentee, Craig Easton, will also be hopeful of making his comeback. The midfielder recovered enough from a groin strain to make the bench at New York Stadium but he never made it onto the pitch. Torquay travel to Kingsmeadow in 17th place, looking for their first win in four league matches.
