Verdict

A rare visit to Wetherby for Noel Chance as he bids to get some valuable experience into Flame Creek before the gelding is put away and primed for richer targets when the season proper gets underway much later in the year. The seven-year-old was a little novicey at his fences on his chasing debut at Bangor earlier in the month. But never really had a moment¿s worry as he powered away from some modest rivals in-between his fences. The step up in trip should not be a problem for him tonight and he is confidently expected to have too much speed on the flat for Blakeney Coast, whose course experience gives him a sound chance of at least making a race of it. Barring accidents, In Exstremis II looks outclassed.
