An interesting little contest opens the card at Wetherby and it looks to be another good opportunity for Paul Nicholls to gather a further indication as to how much Fair Prospect will live up to his name. The seven-year-old barley came out of first gear when adding to his tally here last week, and a similar performance this evening should see him have too much class for Wildfield Rufo and Brush A King. Fair Prospect looks to be a staying chaser in the making and has a bright future ahead of him. Wildfield Rufo reverted to hurdles at the start of the year and has run up to a decent standard so far. However, as a previous point-to-point winner in Ireland before he joined his current yard, it would be no surprise to see him back over fences before too long. Brush A King may be one for a bit of value in the race but lacks the scope of the Nicholls horse. Top Guard is an unknown quantity but he showed little in three Irish bumpers prior to this.
