Verdict

Nicky Richards has adopted a typically patient approach with WINTER ALCHEMY which was rewarded with a decisive success over C&D earlier this month. He looks a ready improver and can shrug off a 7lb rise and double up here. Farfields, third that day, is 7lb better off now and rates a threat on revised terms but is due to run in the 8.05 on Tuesday evening and it's best to see how she fares before taking a decision about her chance here. The consistent Banellie has yet to win over timber and faces a tough task at the weights, whilst Brompton Brow will need to improve on modest maiden hurdle form moving into handicaps for the first time.
