Verdict

Dermot Weld has won this eight times since 1990 and relies on hurdling newcomer Galileo's Choice this time. Rated 102 on the Flat after his latest narrow defeat by Pittoni at Tipperary in May, he'll know his job and must be on the short-list. Dingaling showed nothing over timber on his first two starts but has improved in bumpers and AP McCoy's presence is an obvious sign that he's expected to do better. Laganbank made a bright start over hurdles when runner-up to Sublime Talent at Ballinrobe and went one better in a Killarney bumper. DRUMFIRE finished a close second in this a year ago and didn't have much racing subsequently. His narrow defeat by Macville in a Listed event at Limerick is the best hurdling form on view and he'll be sharper for a recent run on the Flat. He can take this under Barry Geraghty as Serein would be more at home on slower ground over further.
