Verdict

Bienheureux looks a fair bet to swiftly return to the winners enclosure although Great Gidding and Strangely Brown also hold claims. Gay Kelleway's charge looked as if needing every yard of twelve furlongs last time up and although this represents a step up in trip, this is a likely individual who is interestingly poised in the handicap. Great Gidding was well backed last time out and while backers did not collect on this occasion, the fact that connections had persevered so long suggests that there must have been encouragement at home. Strangely Brown ran well on a first foray over this extended trip at Beverley and compensation awaits. Mister Completely is substantially upped in trip while Illeana could be of interest and is duly noted in the betting. Bienheureux is our pick.
