In depth

Verdict

A good way to start day-four of the Glorious Goodwood meeting and a race that can go to Alkaadhem, who can put his course experience to good use to get the better of the improving Alkaased, who has done very little wrong up to press and is fancied to be the biggest danger to the selection. Eastern Breeze and Persian Lightning are others that are wily enough to give a good account of themselves and are worth noting for each-way players. Whereas First Charter - winner of a Listed race at Newmarket last month - will not go down without a fight. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained entire has also gone very well here in the past and has to be given the utmost respect. However, he lacks the scope held by the Alkaadhem, who can confirm himself to be versatile enough to add a second Listed race to his profile at a track that holds no fears for him.
