In depth

Verdict

Orpen Quest, Burton Ash and Blue Empire are three against the field in a wide open finale and the vote is given to Orpen Quest. The selection won well last time out when beating Spark Up and although having a penalty for that win he looks a progressive type and is taken to defy the handicapper. Burton Ash rates the main danger as he won well last time out when beating Westcourt Dream but this looks more completive and he needs to improve to win off this higher mark. Blue Empire is another that could go well but he continues to rise in the weights without winning and is passed over for that reason. Of the remainder Heartcrusher is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Orpen Quest.
