Verdict

Woofie has been raised 5lb for winning at Hamilton but should still go close. Late developer Volunteer Point was only beaten a head at Goodwood last time and is another for the short-list while Ythan Waters rarely seems to run a bad race and is probably still on a decent mark. GERRY THE GLOVER was pitched in at the deep end last time in the Silver Bowl at Haydock but might have gone close had he not been hampered when just starting to make ground. He was only beaten five lengths at the finish and shouldn't encounter traffic problems today in this small field. The maiden Lopes Dancer is preferred to Irish raider Fragile Earth and an out-of-sorts Oregon Gift of the others.
