In depth

Verdict

Happy Crusader and Marcus Eile should go well here but it could be worth taking a chance on Sir Mark Prescott's Red Damson. The selection has only shown moderate form so far and was always behind the pace at Wolverhampton last time, but Sir Mark Prescott is a master at improving types who step into this company, and Red Damson might represent the value. Happy Crusader is a consistent sort who ran well to win at Goodwood last time, and is sure to be in the frame at the finish. While Marcus Eile cannot be ignored despite a poor performance last time at Beverly when a beaten odds-on favourite. All three are likely to be thereabouts at the finish but the slight preferance is for Red Damson who could be open to the most improvement in what looks a fairly competitive race.
