Red Romeo, Nesnaas and Brunel are the ones to concentrate on here, with the vote going to the latter. Brunel, from the William Haggas yard put up a decent performance to finish 2nd behind the useful Mutawaffer at Ascot last month and a reproduction of that effort should be good enough here. That was over six furlongs and the extra furlong should help here, while the booking of Paul Hanagan is another plus. Red Romeo was well beaten and disappointing last time but could be open to some improvement after a promising debut, while Nesnaas showed a modicum of ability at Yarmouth last time and is the most likely to chase our selection home. Brunel is unlikely to be much value, but should be good enough to take what is a fairly moderate contest.
