      Verdict

A fair few of these are worth considering, not least Pangloss, who edges the vote over Slavonic and Gjovic, who head the long list of dangers in a wide-open contest. Out of the rest: Mrs Pankhurst could also feasibly go close if there is no significant rain beforehand and she is defiantly one to post a lookout for when the prices become available. However, Pangloss, who hails from a yard that have done really well since the start of the season, is expected to have come on a bundle from his reappearance run, where the slower ground may have been his undoing as they closed in on the finish. That effort was all more commendable as he had not raced since last November and was also his first try when there has been plenty of give underfoot. This faster surface should enable Pangloss to finish to better effect and, as he went really well when he last raced here, he is worth siding with again today. Gjovic has been a hard horse to win with so it may be best left to the proven stayer Slavonic to give Pangloss the most to do.
