Verdict

Karl Burke looks to have found a suitable opportunity for Romil Star and he gets the vote over Aveiro and Good Time Bobby. The selection is well treated judged by official BHB ratings, comes here in reasonable form and has no problems with the trip. With the stable's horses in good heart, Romil Star is hard to oppose. Gay Kelleway's Aveiro has gone well here in the past but the stable has been quiet of late so he may be best watched and a bigger threat is likely to come from Good Time Bobby. The seven-year-old, a 79-rated hurdler, is unexposed on the flat but made an encouraging debut over a seemingly inadequate mile when third behind Bailieborough at Pontefract last month. He may do better now that he tackles further and is dropped in class. Sue Wilton's Revelino has a long absence to overcome, as does Desert Quill, although the latter represents the in-form yard of Mark Brisbourne. The remainder make limited appeal in a race that is taken to go to Romil Star.
