In depth

Verdict

A competitive enough chase to conclude the card here and Present M'Lord may well be good enough to take it from Low Delta and Dundridge Native. Like his opponents here the selection is exposed on his current mark of 94, but although beaten from it recently he will be better for this sound surface and as one who jumps well and 'runs his race' then he can be relied upon and so gets the nod. Low Delta is up 1lb for finishing second over this sort of trip at Taunton on soft ground last time and as that surface suits him well he wouldn't appear to have any better chance this time, so he is opposable. Dundridge Native's jumping hs let him down on his last two starts and he has gone up 8lb since unseating last time. If he does jump round then he may well be a threat but he is not jumping off the page as a bet here. Phareight Dei has some ability but probably wants a fair bit more juice in the ground and preference here is for Present M'Lord.
