In depth

Verdict

Seel of Approval and Golden Dixie have obvious claims on their recent form but Fantasy Believer, who has the benefit of a draw next to the rail, is the selection in a competitive contest. John Quinn's five-year-old has found one too good in each of his two starts since winning at Ayr and, with the draw in stall one in his favour, he looks the percentage call. David Nicholls always has to be respected in these events so the claims of Onlytime Will Tell and Loyal Tycoon have to be respected. Golden Dixie showed improved form at Newbury last time and, but for a draw in stall 12 would have been interesting, while Kempton winner Seel Of Approval who finished fourth over course and distance last time is another to consider. Seven No Trumps has slipped to an attractive mark but is on a long losing sequence now and it is difficult to know how much ability he retains so the safest option is probably to side with Fantasy Believer.
