Verdict

There is very little for backers to go on here with none of the five runners having raced previously and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Negwa, who gets the verdict over Carry On Katie. The last mentioned, a daughter of Fasliyev, is trained by Jeremy Noseda who always has to be respected with his juvenile runners. However, a lot of his youngsters have disappointed this term and she may not be one to take too short a price about. Amanda Perrett's Bread Of Heaven is bred to come into her own later in life being by Machiavellian, who's progeny tend to improve with racing. David Elsworth's Pink Sapphire, a half-sister to Niagara, could be interesting if fully wound up for her debut as could Three Secrets. George Margarson's filly is a half-sister, by Danehill, to Prix de l'Abbaye winner Carmine Lake and makes plenty of appeal on breeding. A market move for her should be noted but it is Negwa that gets the vote. The daughter of Bering is a half-sister to four other winners including Island Sound and Serge Lifar and, while she is likely to improve over middle distances, this is a stiff six furlongs and that should suit.
