In depth

Verdict

Shahzan House hails from the in-form Michael Jarvis yard, is well drawn in stall 5 and looks the one to beat in this competitive handicap with Sir George Turner and Bagan the others worth considering. The selection caught the eye on his seasonal reappearance at Epsom when third behind Blythe Knight. He is bound to come on for that run and with the stable flying at present he looks the one to beat. Sir George Turner is also from a yard in good form and he looked to be in need of the run when well down the field behind Chancellor at Sandown last time. If he is spot on for this he has a definite chance of making the frame. Bagan would have claims on his best form but he was a little disappointing last time at Newmarket behind Dissident and the draw has not been kind to him in stall 12. St Pancreas is another that has not been done any favours by the draw, and for the winner we return to Shahzan House who is given the confident nomination.
