Verdict

These four look difficult to win with and with course experience at a premium, Newcorr is given the most tentative of nods at the expense of Rathmullen. He was formerly rated in the mid sixties when in Ireland but Newcorr has shown little for John Bridger bar a couple of recent efforts at Lingfield and Brighton over a mile. There is no danger about the trip and in a dire contest, it says a lot that he holds the most favoured chance. Rathmullen is stepped up in trip. He has yet to act around Lingfield in his previous visits although recent form with Neutral Night entitles him to consideration. Sea Jade finished second to a horse that had been 0 from 46 in his previous outings while Ballygriffin Kid looks not to have trained on from his juvenile days. Newcorr is given the nod.
