Verdict

A competitive contest gets proceedings under way and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Monolith. Kombinacja, Gracilis and Dickensbury Lad and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection won well last time out when defeating Bay Kenny in good style. This looks more competitive but he won in the style of an improver and under conditions that suit he is taken to win again. Monolith rates the main danger he was a fair second behind Tee-Jay last time in a handicap but he will do well to give weight and a beating to the selection. Gracilis is another that could go well he won well last time out when defeating Mickey Croke but that form has since been let down and he is over looked on this occasion. Of the remainder Kombinacja is from a yard in form and was a good second behind Silver Charmer last time but she barley sees out this trip so in a tough race to call for the winner we return to Dickensbury Lad.
