Verdict

Just an ordinary handicap and it is difficult to know what effect the draw will have, but while Will He Wish, Super Canyon and Milton Bradleys pair of Parkside Pursuit and Iced Diamond are sure to attract support, Indian Steppes only has to go down and comeback to take this, if running to the same form she showed at Headquarters on Friday. That effort was far and away the best form she has shown and even allowing for the fact that Impressive Flight was probably below her best, she was only two-lengths behind the 88 rated winner, giving her 3lbs, and had rivals rated 14lbs and upwards superior to her left trailing in her wake, so surely not all of her rivals could have had an off day. She can run off her old mark of 69 in this and must take all the beating. Failed hurdler Will He Wish showed his appreciation for sprinting when getting off the mark in a moderate contest at Redcar. While he is open to improvement, he shouldn't be good enough on these terms to trouble the selection. Parkside Pursuit could be the one to follow the selection home. He wasn't beaten far in a fair contest at Doncaster over the weekend and if none the worse for that effort must go well, while stablemate Iced Diamond confirmed his wellbeing when runner-up to another one of his stablemates Toppling at Nottingham. However, providing Indian Steppes wasn't flattered by her run at Newmarket, she will take all the beating.
