A tight handicap here with 5lbs covering all of the runners and an amateur riders race to boot but some thing has to win and the principals look to be Commander Wish, Mambazo and Perlachy and the narrow vote is given to the last named. The selection won well last time out when beating Stamford Street; granted he has a penalty for that win but he has won off a higher mark in the past and he is taken to score. Mambazo rates the main danger because although he has been lightly disappointing of late he has the best amateur booked and he should be watched in the market. Commander Wish is another that could go well on his latest second behind By The Edge but he looks vulnerable under top weight in this tight affair. Mozakhraf is another that could go well as he is sure to strip fitter for his latest run but his stable have yet to hit top form yet. Aventour will be staying on when others have cried enough but he will probably have too much to do. Of the others, Trinculo is best when allowed to dominate and, as he looks sure to be taken on for the lead, he is opposed. In a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Perlachy.
