In depth

Verdict

Trans Siberian ran well on his reappearance recently and is taken to go one place better today; Rebellious Spirit and Froisee make it to the shortlist. The selection represents a stable who are in good form at this early stage of the season and he only found one too good in the form of Look So at Windsor. That was his first run in a handicap and this son of Soviet Star is fancied to oblige today. There are several dangers, with Cactus King rated a danger given his fair win at Kempton but that was only a claimer and he has more to do now returned to turf. Rebellious Spirit has had a very fruitful winter on the all-weather but his record on turf is less than impressive. Golden Prospect has claims now returned to this mile trip, whilst Blacktoft is not the most straight-forward but on his best runs he would have an each way squeak. Rambling Light should improve for a recent pipe-opener, whilst Froissee returns from an absence but can go ok fresh and wouldn't mind any rain. An open race, however Trans Siberian gets the nod.
