Tawzeea, Van Bossed and Legal Eagle are the three to look at in this open handicap and preference is for John Gosden's Legal Eagle to maintain the trainer's excellent start to the season. Mark Johnston saddles one of the bottom weights, Tawzeea and she will appreciate the recent rain, being a daughter of Cadeau Genereux. She has been placed in her three starts to date, but was a beaten favourite last time at Warwick on her seasonal bow, and may find at least one too good here. Van Bossed was fit from two runs on the all weather when slamming his field by three lengths and more over this course and distance last time. He is nine pounds higher here and that may anchor him. Any rain that falls will help the cause of Legal Eagle, who enjoyed testing conditions at Newbury on his second start. He disappointed on a faster surface in a hot York nursery last time, having previously been well entered up. With the Gosden camp flying, and rain for the area forecast, Legal Eagle is taken to rule here.
