Smirfys Gold made a highly encouraging reappearance when a close up fourth at Carlisle last month and has to be respected but, along with the consistent Twinned, he has been done few favours with a wide draw and preference is for Stormburst. The selection could not be better berthed than she is in stall one, comes into the race in fair form and she is taken to win only for the second time in her career. Peter Grayson's Egyptian Lord has claims on the pick of his form but is another that has been done few favours with the draw, while Blessed Place has slipped to a decent mark but is hard to back with confidence on recent evidence. Fastrac Boy has slipped to a career low mark but has given little sign for encouragement of late and a better bet looks to be Stormburst.
