In depth

Verdict

Burning Flute can land the opener at the expense of Hawkspur and Casting Couch. The selection ran well here in his debut and was not discredited when fourth of sixteen in a better event at Goodwood thereafter. Connections have managed to pick what looks like on paper a sub standard maiden here so if reproducing his best then he will take all the beating. Hawkspur is an interesting newcomer from the Hannon yard. He is well related and the trainer id renowned for producing winners first time of asking so any market moves should be noted. The same can be said about Casting Couch whose connections are always feared at this track so the market will prove to be the best guide to his chances. But for the winner we return to Burning Flute.
