Verdict

Melody King looks the one to beat following his Chepstow win 11 days ago. Admittedly, he had the run of the race that day, but he also seemed to win with a bit in hand and might be able to defy the handicapper's six-pound ratings rise. On a line through Moscow Mary, Only If I Laugh has a couple of lengths to find over Truly Wonderful. Incidentally, that was Only If I Laugh's only try at six furlongs so far, and it was back in June. Two-year-olds can often improve at different rates, which adds a further problem to trying to find the winner. Kozando rates a danger. He is just getting his act together, a view confirmed by his Haydock win last time. Hunting Pink has shown a modicum of promise but both she and Knight On the Tiles have something to prove at the moment. Once again, then, it's Melody King for us.
