Verdict

Howrwenow can make amends for a recent fall by beating D'Argent and El Hombre Del Rio. Henrietta Knight's charge was travelling strongly when coming to grief six out at Exeter last time, and would surely have been involved in the finish. A winner in soft ground over hurdles at Bangor first time out this term, he looks set to go close despite the faster conditions. D'Argent comes from a stable in form but does have to give weight away all round, while El Hombre Del Rio, who shaped well when second at Plumpton on his chase debut, is by Over The River and so will be expected to improve with age. All three mentioned should pay their way over fences, but Howrwenow, an Irish point winner, makes most appeal at this time and is the pick.
