      Verdict

Mirant can get back to winning ways, with Conroy and Town Crier looking the biggest dangers. Martin Pipe's Mirant has to concede weight to the field courtesy of wins at Bangor and Fontwell. He was beaten last time but his chance here still has to be respected. Town Crier won over course and distance in July before falling when going well at Bangor next time. A better show can be expected today. River Mere has some placed efforts to his name but is struggling to get his nose in front. However, Conroy, with seconds behind fair sorts in Be Fair and Feel The Pride to his name, could give the selection most to do. Brilliantrio has three Flat wins to his name, including over 10 furlongs at Chester, so he is worth a look in the market. Overall, though, it's a close call but Mirant just gets the nod over Conroy and Town Crier.
