Short Supply has run poorly on the Flat since a decent effort over timber at Kelso. Tinseltown has now gone 16 races without finishing in the first two, and though Endeavor was gaining his third victory since September at Market Rasen last week he isn't one to trust implicitly and has a penalty to carry. Funky Munky is suited by plenty of give in the ground as he showed when scoring on the Flat at Ayr last month, while it was soft when Sydney Cove scored at Hexham though he had dropped to an enticing mark after some poor form. CARTERS REST has a big weight to carry but isn't badly treated as he was conceding Endeavor 22lb when narrowly beaten at Kelso last month. With jockey claims taken into consideration he's 14lb better off here and is given the nod to gain his first victory over jumps.
