In depth

Verdict

Authentic Act has won four races over jumps - all on this track including twice over fences earlier this summer. He ran poorly on his comeback behind Well Oiled a fortnight ago but can do much better than that. Strathaird finished runner-up in that latter event with Royal Mile and Melange further behind and, as that was only his second outing following a three-year lay-off, he must be a threat despite being out of the handicap. Frith ran a shocker in soft ground at Hexham last time after scoring there in quicker conditions previously. TIPSY INDIAN was having only his second start over fences last time when caught on the line by Panthers Run at Hexham. He's on the same mark here and Shane Byrne's claim can help him go one better.
